Sponsored running events are held throughout the UK, including the London Marathon, the Great North Run, the Gloucester Marathon, Bath Half Marathon, Cheltenham 10k and the Forest of Dean Half Marathon.

But if running’s not really your thing, try out the Cheltenham’s Circular Challenge. This 26-mile, 385 yard circuit is hailed as one of the most scenic walking courses in Britain.
