Level 5 Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector City and Guilds 6305
Welcome to DTLLS, the level 5 Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector, also known as City and Guilds 6305.
This new qualification will prepare you for a successful career as a teacher in your chosen subject within further education.
A City & Guilds qualification is proof that you have the right skills to do your job well - which is why so many employers look for people who have one. You can be confident your qualification is well respected within your industry.
The DTLLS qualification consists of a total credit value of 120 credits. And will run over 15 months, completion being July 2013.
Units covered will be:
- Enabling learning through assessment
- Applying theories and principles for planning and enabling learning
- Optional units to the value of 45 credits
- Continuing personal and professional development
- Curriculum development for inclusive practice
- Wider professional practice
There is a requirement for a candidate to have between 100 and 120 hours of teaching practice to evidence. Each candidate will receive 5 lesson observations of at least one hour in duration. This will take place in the individual’s place of work.
